Can you explain this GRE analogy question to me? LAST:SHOE as??

LAST:SHOE::

A) cuff:trousers

B) finale:curtain

C) pattern:glove

D) buckle:belt

E) strap:slip

The answer is C but I don%26#039;t understand why??

Can you explain this GRE analogy question to me? LAST:SHOE as??
I think it%26#039;s C, pattern:glove.

The %26quot;last%26quot; is the mold that%26#039;s used to shape the insole of the shoe. When I buy my sneakers on the New Balance website, I choose the last that I%26#039;ve used before to make sure it will be comfortable for my foot. Lots of different shoes are made with the same last. It describes how deep/wide the shoe is.

Good luck!
Reply:the answer is C

:Last is what a shoe is made on.. like a pattern
Reply:typing define: last into google helps:

%26quot;In shoemaking, a last is a rounded oblong block used to approximate the form of the human foot used by a cobbler to help make or mend shoes.%26quot;

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Last
Reply:C)

lil one.... last is the mold to make the shoe

so it will have to be the pattern: glove
