i bought a pair of maryjane shoes recently, and i love everything about them except for the buckle. is there any way a shoemaker could put a new buckle on? and do they sell them?

hi, yes! a shoe maker/repairer should be able to remove and replace. and if they are any good they should have a few choices!
the habadashery dept in any store will or should have a range of buckles you could buy and take to the repairer, or alternatively,, go op-shopping! find buckles on not so nice shoes and cut them off for re use. have fun!
Reply:Hi yes definatley my partner has his own sho repair shop and ive seen lots of different pairs of shoes having things changed buckles ect ect-he should have a good supply of alternatives to show you and sometimes they look better than they did in the first place so go for it find a good shoe repair shop.
