Name that (really old-ish) book.?

My dad read this book to me when I was like seven, so about nine years ago, and I%26#039;m sure it%26#039;s much older. I want to know the title. Anyway:

-It was a compilation of stories.

-One was a story about the Huckabuck (or something similar) family. There was a lot of popcorn and something about a shoe buckle in it to. Maybe a squash... not sure.

-Another was a story of a kid who stayed a night in a karate place of some sort and there was some kind of fight between cats he drew and goblins.

Yes. I know, random, but I%26#039;m for sure it%26#039;s out there somewhere...

Name that (really old-ish) book.?
Its a collection of fairy stories from around the world. The temple on eis %26#039;asian%26#039; the huckabuck or whatever is from somewhere else. Look under fairy tales.
Reply:Hold, on I think I might have the book you%26#039;re talking about... give me a minute...

Someone beat me to it...
Reply:dictionary?
Reply:Sounds like you are talking abou The Huckabuck Family: and How They Raised Popcorn in Nebraska and Quit and Came Back and is a larger part of Carl Sandburg%26#039;s Rootabaga Stories
