Does anyone know the origin to the nursery rhyme "One, two buckle my shoe"?

I read somewhere that it was used in colonial times for children to remember their chores.

Does anyone know the origin to the nursery rhyme %26quot;One, two buckle my shoe%26quot;?
it is used to teach numbering sequence and rhyming
Reply:A little old lady used it to get her children to clean up. (They thought it was a game)
